January 17

I was in the kitchen and Caitlin called me in to see what Natalie was doing. Crazy girl.


I told Caitlin that I would paint her nails if she would stop sucking her thumb. I really thought it would work, but I found her sleeping that night with her thumb in her mouth. The next day, we put a bandaid on her thumb, and it worked for nap, but at bedtime, she just took the bandaid off and sucked her thumb. So, we quickly took her nail polish off.


Caitlin had a birthday party for one of her friends from school today at Sky Zone.  She was waiting in line to jump into the foam pits.  Based on the pictures below, I think it's safe to say that she had a blast!

January 16

Ryan was out of town for work today and this weekend, so the girls and I took a trip to the mall for dinner after school and Natalie got her first haircut tonight. Surprisingly, she was pretty indifferent to the process.

Caitlin and I played the Minnie Memory game after Natalie went to sleep. She proceeded to kick my butt. Let's just say her short-term memory is just a little bit better than mine.

We had chicken chili for dinner tonight, and Natalie was less than thrilled about it.  She eventually came around and ate the whole bowl though.


And then she and Caitlin played a nice game of peekaboo. Natalie will put anything on her head as a "hat" that she can find.


The first two sentences of her daily report from school made both me and Ryan chuckle today. She really loves to eat these days.

January 13

We turned the water blue at bathtime tonight, and Caitlin was so excited.


Natalie, not so much... she was so distraught about the blue water.

January 12

We got home, and Caitlin got sick (a nasty cold) so she got to stay home with Ryan today.  Natalie came home from school, and she was so sweet to read a book to her while resting on the couch.

January 11

Today was Andrew's Christening. Natalie got a little restless so we took a little walk around the church.


Caitlin looked so pretty in her Christmas dress from last year.


And then Natalie licked the pew. Silly girl.


These two were so happy to be together, and I just love this picture of them. The gorgeous church was still decorated for Christmas which coordinated perfectly with their outfits.

January 10

We spent the weekend in PA, and Natalie really enjoyed chowing down on her supreme pizza at lunch.

January 9

This is how I found her this morning when I went in to wake her for school.


Natalie enjoyed the cupcakes that Ryan brought home (from my favorite cupcake place) for my birthday. She did not like the icing at all, but really enjoyed the actual cupcake.


Ryan put Caitlin to bed tonight. It was really quiet, and I went up to check on them and this is what I found.  So funny.

I can't figure her out. She won't hug or kiss him at bedtime, but tonight she fought me when I tried to read to her or rock her before bed and kept saying "Dada" over and over. I kissed her and put her in her crib (and she freaked out) and sent him up. 10 minutes later I hear snoring (from Ryan) and this is what I find. Guess she just needed some time with her Daddy.

January 8

We had a chicken, broccoli and rice casserole for dinner, and Caitlin wanted no part of it.  There were lots of tears shed over this stupid dinner. Once she finally tried it after bath time and a lot of coaxing, she admitted that it wasn't so bad.


Most nights no matter what I do, she just won't look at my camera.  Stinker.

January 7

Caitlin was building a tower for Natalie so that she could knock it down.

January 6

I had to work late tonight, so Ryan took the girls for pizza after work.

Amazing how much she likes pizza after refusing it for most of her life.


There was no doubt in my mind that Natalie would be a pizza fan!


Apparently, she no longer needs her pizza cut into small pieces because she thinks she's a big girl.

I decided after I made the rainbow scarf that Caitlin needed a new hat.  I love how it turned out!

Another warm day, so we were outside to take the Christmas lights down.  Running to see Daddy. They were so excited.


She was so happy to be outside and running around.


I kind of love this picture of her.


We went for another walk. It's not that easy to see, but I put Caitlin to work pulling Natalie all around the neighborhood. Loved seeing that cutie looking back at me from the wagon.
