September 9
The weather wasn't that great today, so we hung out at the house in the morning. Thankfully, Grandmom came prepared with punching balloons (is that what they're called? who knows..) for the girls.
Natalie even got to play with one.
It was a little windy that day.
We tried to take the girls for a walk on the beach. Caitlin was dying to put her feet in the water, so we rolled up her pants so she could. As soon as her feet touched the water, she realized that she had to go potty, so our walk was cut a little short.
We went over to Stone Harbor to have lunch with Aunt Maryann and Mom Mom. I don't have a picture of this, but I had to document that Caitlin ate 3 (!) pieces of pizza for lunch. Never thought I would see the day that would happen!
We tried to get a picture of Natalie with Mom Mom, but she was a little stinker!
We took a walk into town and made a stop at Springer's for ice cream.
Caitlin enjoyed a chocolate ice cream cone and made a huge mess.
This picture makes me chuckle. She was such a mess!
After we ate our ice cream, we were walking back to Mom Mom and Aunt Maryann's condo, and it was right around nap time for Natalie. I asked Ryan how long he thought it would take me to walk from 96th St to 11th St, and he said it would be at least 3 hours and that he didn't think I could do it. I had a hard time believing that, and he challenged me to do it. So, I took the challenge and started walking. By 91st St, this had happened. For the record, it ended up taking me about 1.5 hours to walk 85 streets (5 miles per Google Maps) in flip flops. The flip flops were probably not the smartest move because my feet are still a little sore a week later, but it was well worth it to prove to Ryan that I could do it!
