September 9
The weather wasn't that great today, so we hung out at the house in the morning. Thankfully, Grandmom came prepared with punching balloons (is that what they're called? who knows..) for the girls.
Natalie even got to play with one.
It was a little windy that day.
We tried to take the girls for a walk on the beach. Caitlin was dying to put her feet in the water, so we rolled up her pants so she could. As soon as her feet touched the water, she realized that she had to go potty, so our walk was cut a little short.
We went over to Stone Harbor to have lunch with Aunt Maryann and Mom Mom. I don't have a picture of this, but I had to document that Caitlin ate 3 (!) pieces of pizza for lunch. Never thought I would see the day that would happen!
We tried to get a picture of Natalie with Mom Mom, but she was a little stinker!
We took a walk into town and made a stop at Springer's for ice cream.
Caitlin enjoyed a chocolate ice cream cone and made a huge mess.
This picture makes me chuckle. She was such a mess!
After we ate our ice cream, we were walking back to Mom Mom and Aunt Maryann's condo, and it was right around nap time for Natalie. I asked Ryan how long he thought it would take me to walk from 96th St to 11th St, and he said it would be at least 3 hours and that he didn't think I could do it. I had a hard time believing that, and he challenged me to do it. So, I took the challenge and started walking. By 91st St, this had happened. For the record, it ended up taking me about 1.5 hours to walk 85 streets (5 miles per Google Maps) in flip flops. The flip flops were probably not the smartest move because my feet are still a little sore a week later, but it was well worth it to prove to Ryan that I could do it!

Happy girl eating her yogurt at breakfast.
Those eyes are just too much.
A little story time for the girls.
We had salt and vinegar chips for lunch, and Natalie really wanted one so we gave her one. I wish I would have gotten a picture of her reaction because it was hilarious. She did end up liking them though!
After a few chips, she needed a huge drink of milk to wash them down.
These two crazy girls rough housed with Daddy/Uncle Ryan.
Silly girls.
More silliness. He's under there somewhere.
Andrew hung out on his activity mat.
Working on tummy time.
Resting after tummy time.
Love this happy girl. The light in our house was pretty amazing.
She found Daddy's bag of chex mix and was asking for some.

September 7
We went for a bike ride to the playground this morning, and these two got to ride in the bike chariot with Ryan pulling them. He got a good workout in pulling the extra 70 or so pounds around!
Big girls swinging!
A quick photo at the top of the slide.
Getting ready to race each other.
The best I could get of these two.
This face just kills me sometimes.
We filled a bucket with water, and she tried to climb into it!
Pretty proud of herself for getting a leg in the bucket. Crazy girl.
Crazy girl with sand all over her mouth coming down to join us in the water.
Twinsies jumping the waves with Granddad.
So excited about the ocean this year.
A quick photo with Granddad!
Napping on the beach.
Silly girl rolling around on the floor.
Finally a pic of the little guy!
Watching TV and sitting up like a big boy.

We were getting dinner ready, and I gave her a pot and a lid to play with. I turn around and she's IN the pot. #natalieclaire

September 6
Starting our week in Avalon off right with some perfect beach weather. Caitlin was SO happy to finally be at the beach!
She was even more excited when Leah got there.
Playing in the sand.
Making drip castles with Leah. She looks way too old to me in this picture.
Love these two.
Natalie took a long nap and made it down to the beach with us around 430. She was so excited to be at the beach too. She would not let go of that snack cup though.
Showing us how she can walk in the sand. It took a few tries, but she finally started to get the hang of it.
More drip castles down by the water.
