We went out to celebrate Tim's 40th birthday, and Grandmom and Granddad were kind enough to watch Caitlin for us. This is how we found her when we got home tonight.
And this is what I found when I woke up this morning. Very curious how she does in her real big girl bed in a few weeks. Guess we better make sure we have some rails!

This lucky little girl got to spend the day with Daddy because her school was closed today. Daddy was kind enough to take her swimming, and she loved it! I thought she looked so cute wrapped up in her towel "snug as a bug in a rug".

Someone was a little whiny/cranky/grumpy (get my point?) tonight. I really need to work on picking up my camera in the morning when she's not pissed off/bored with us yet.

I had to work late tonight, and I got this picture in a text from Ryan to show me how she had a green hue from painting at school. It's hard to see it in the picture (other than her hair), but apparently, she had green paint on her chin, in her ears, on her neck, etc.

When I got to school to pick Caitlin up tonight, this is what I found. Apparently, they played pirates at school, and Caitlin didn't want to take hers off... Silly girl!

Happy birthday to me. We had the perfect low-key celebration at home. Caitlin had no complaints. She loved the Cookie Monster cupcake that Ryan got for her. Although it would appear to be different in this picture, I think we finally figured out that Caitlin only likes the actual cake and sprinkles... no frosting.

At dinner last night.
Me: "Caitlin, please don't play with your cups."
Caitlin: "Do you see Mommy and Daddy playing with their cups?"
(We say this to her when we ask her not to do something to try to show her that we don't do it either.)
We were upstairs in my bedroom, and I was changing out of my work clothes.
Me: "Hold on one sec, I just have to put my socks on."
Caitlin: "You don't want your feet to be nakey?"

One last time reading her Christmas books before we put them away until next year. Ryan dressed her today and claims that she really wanted to wear her "Go Eagles" shirt. I'm convinced that this jinxed the Redskins today. :)

The weather was decent (read: not too windy and not completely freezing), so Caitlin got to go outside with Ryan for a little bit tonight. We can't wait for warmer weather to get here!

I'm not really sure what it is about this picture, but I love it. I think her cheeks are rosy from being outside in the cold (or at least I hope that's all it is). She was also swaddling her dolly to get ready for bed. Oh, and in other news, this kid has worn big girl underwear to school the past 2 days and had no accidents and even went #2 on the potty there! We worked on potty training during the Christmas break, and she is doing awesome!! We're so proud of her!!
