For Caitlin's birthday, we decided to take her to Sesame Place for the day.  We realized that she's not as adventurous as we thought she might be.  Here is our obligatory picture with Elmo.  This was as close as I could get her to him.

Caitlin celebrated her birthday at school today, and her teachers gave her this cute frog and a frog book.  Froggy HAD to go shopping with us in Target.  She loves him!

She thought she wanted to read books in the guestroom for bedtime tonight.  As soon as Ryan got in there, she changed her mind.  Caitlin would like to wish her cousin Leah a very happy first birthday!!  We can't wait to celebrate with you this weekend!

After the way she acted tonight, I had to take this picture to remind myself how sweet she looks when she sleeps.  She threw the biggest fit tonight because the second half of her grilled cheese at dinner looked a little different than the first half (b/c it got a little wrinkled when I flipped it).  She cried most of the rest of the evening until I put her to bed.  Hoping for a better day tomorrow.

She was trying to lay down on her horse to rest like Daddy (he was using it as a pillow right before this).  Whenever we lay down and close our eyes, she walks over to us and pulls at our eyelids to open our eyes and says "Wake up, Mommy/Daddy."  Funny girl!

When we got home from the beach tonight, we let Caitlin play while we were unloading the car.  This is what I found when I walked back in - Caitlin sitting backwards on her horse with a winter hat on, playing with her rubber ducky.  I love this kid.  She makes me laugh so much.  We had a great time at the beach, and Caitlin was asleep by 6:45pm.

Happy Mother's Day!  I had a great day with this little cutie and her Daddy.  It's days like these when I'm reminded how blessed I truly am.

We spent the day at Ryan's company picnic and had a great time.  Caitlin loved the bounce house, the forklift rodeo and of course, the cookies!

Working hard on her puzzle on the deck last night.  When she gets it, she gets so excited and looks up and says "I did it!".

I put her to bed and within 10 minutes, she had done this, so I went up to take her picture (because that's what I do) and put her PJs back on.  No idea what's going on with the shorts - for the past 2 nights, she has had to wear them over her PJs.

She was busy working on her computer.  She loves singing along and dancing to the ABCs song that it plays and will turn it on and off to get it to start playing that song again and again.

First lollipop tonight at the grocery store.  She liked it enough while we were walking around, but she gave it to me as we were walking out of the store and told me she was all done.   She's starting to say some funny things, so I'm going to try to remember to post them here so I don't forget.  This morning, she pointed to my belly and said "Baby in belly".  (No, I'm not pregnant).  So, I told her that there was no baby in my belly, and she said "No.  Becky, baby in belly."  Amazing that she remembered that because the last time we saw Aunt Becky was at least 2 weeks ago!

Someone was too tired and cranky tonight to take a bath.

Caitlin had her first haircut today!  She was such a big girl - it did not even phase her.  Of course, the TV playing Dora directly in front of her might have helped distract her a little bit.  Either way, we were very proud of her!  She also thought she was too grown up to take a nap today... Needless to say, she was in bed a bit earlier than normal tonight!

Daddy's little helper.  She was so into helping him put together the table for the deck tonight.

She was mad at me because I wanted her to make the car move by herself instead of me pushing her.

Grandmom bought Caitlin some big girl panties.  Caitlin is still a little unsure about potty training, but we're trying to get her interested with these. 

April 30

After a long 5 days, we made it back home, and the deck was finished!  Ryan had the tape measure out to measure the deck, and Caitlin said "I help Daddy" and proceeded to "help" him.  She's definitely in the helpful phase, and it is so cute!  Caitlin would also like to wish her Aunt Becky and Uncle Jordan a happy (belated) 1-year anniversary!! 

April 29

Day #5, but Caitlin had a sleepover with Leah on Saturday night.  She loved staying with Aunt Alexis, Uncle Tim, and Leah, and the girls had so much fun together.  Aunt Alexis and Uncle Tim got a feel for what it would be like with 2 kids!  I was so impressed that they ventured to the park with both girls!   I love how Leah is looking at Caitlin in this picture!

Day #4 with Grandmom & Granddad.  I love this picture and how serious they both were about their coloring!  Also, I know Caitlin told Granddad this repeatedly and even sang to him while she was visiting, but Happy (belated) Birthday, Granddad!  We love you so much and are so lucky to have you in our lives!!

Day #3 with Grandmom & Granddad.  Leah was so excited to see Caitlin!  Apparently, she just kept hugging her!  Caitlin didn't seem to mind at all by the looks of the pictures!
