She was trying to get me to play her harmonica. We started Kindermusik classes this past weekend (on Saturday), and she absolutely loved the class and the harmonica that came with it!
She was being a stinker tonight and did not want Ryan after dinner. I was standing by the kitchen table, and she had walked over to basically cling to my leg. At some point, she started walking backwards and tripped over something, and she fell into the box that we throw our recycling in. I took a picture instead of helping her up (this made me laugh so hard). Ryan was the good parent who helped her get out, but she still did not want anything to do with him for bath and bed time tonight. So much so that she got herself all worked up at bedtime and threw up. Awesome.
This picture cracks me up. She had a busy morning with swim lessons and her first music class (that she absolutely loved), so she took a 3.5 hour nap this afternoon. When she woke up, Grandmom and I looked at the monitor and found that she had taken her socks off and put them on her hands. By the time I got upstairs with the camera, she had taken one of them off, but it was still so funny!
It was breakfast-for-dinner night. She loves bacon - this is really the only meat that she will eat consistently. Not that there was any doubt, but she is most definitely Ryan's daughter.
She didn't really want me to take her picture, and Ryan was trying to teach her to put her hand up in front of her face as if to say "No pictures, please". She didn't quite get the concept, but she has mastered the "Mommy, put the camera down" look.
Caitlin had a rough night. She was eating dinner and was actually eating until she got a piece of parmesan cheese stuck on her finger. She couldn't get it off, so she freaked out and dumped her plate of food on the floor. Awesome. She spent some time in time-out, and then she wouldn't help me clean up the mess, so we decided it was bath time.
This is the look I got when she realized that I was leaving, and Daddy was doing bath time and bed time. She proceeded to completely lose it after this picture was taken. Lately, she's been such a momma's girl - I love it, but I feel bad for Ryan.
Caitlin's school was closed today, and Ryan had a holiday, so they had a nice daddy-daughter day. He took her to Port Discovery in the morning, and then they met me for lunch. It was fun to see them but so hard for me to go back to work after lunch!
Multi-tasking. Caitlin spent the night with Aunt Val while Ryan and I attended his work holiday party on Saturday. She had a blast!! Thanks again, Val!!
Pigtails (or bows as she calls them)!! I was finally able to get her to sit still long enough to get them in. Also, thank you to Aunt Maryann and Mom-Mom for the new ponytail holders - worked like a charm!!
Someone woke up on the wrong side of the crib after nap today. She threw a tantrum for a good 30 minutes and wanted absolutely nothing to do with me. Only Ryan could make her feel better. I am convinced that she was possessed for those 30 minutes.
My big girl riding the "rocking bear" at Storyville today. She played for a good 2.5 hours, so I'm hoping that translates into a nice, long nap this afternoon!
Happy New Year! The weather was somewhat nice today, so we took Caitlin to the neighborhood playground again. Caitlin showed Ryan what a big girl she was by climbing up the steps and going down the slide all by herself. Aunt Becky and Uncle Jordan stopped by for a bit, and Aunt Becky joined in on all the sliding fun. It's picture overload again, but I thought these picture were just too cute. I love Caitlin's face in all of them, and I especially love how she's looking at Aunt Becky in the last sliding picture.
Caitlin also tried to ride her pink dump truck that she got from the Mooney's for Christmas. Clearly, it's a bit small for riding, but she still likes to try. And, although she actually looks really cute in her Eagles shirt, I had absolutely nothing to do with this. Ryan dressed her today after we got home from church. At least she was supporting a winning team even though the Redskins/Eagles game meant nothing.
