Holiday Cards

Ok, we all know how much I love pictures, especially taking them.  Now that Caitlin is here, we finally have someone cute to be the star of our Christmas card.  Ryan has even agreed to let me send out a photo card this year!  What better place to find a Christmas photo card than Shutterfly!  The hardest part is going to be picking a card because there are so many to choose from!

I think the Gifted Tag Christmas card could be a good choice because it's simple, but very cute, and we certainly received a cute "gift" this year.

I also think the Love All Around Christmas card is a good option because you can include up to 3 photos on it!  I love having options!!

Another thing that I love about Shutterfly is that you can make wall calendars with your favorite photos.  If I can ever get organized, I would like to make one with pictures of Caitlin to hang at my desk at work.

So, if you will excuse me, I have some work to do deciding which card will represent our First Christmas as a family of three!  You can start your search for your own Christmas or Holiday card here and here!

Disclaimer: I am participating in the Shutterfly Christmas Card Promotion. By writing this post, I will receive 50 free holiday cards from Shutterfly.com. And you can too! To participate, click here.

This is exactly how I felt today.

It was so hard to go back to work after spending an exhausting wonderful weekend with our families. We were able to say it in person yesterday, but I'll say it again. Happy Father's Day to two absolutely amazing dads! We are so lucky to both have such great role models in our lives, and we hope you both had a great day yesterday and know how much you mean to us! I have included a couple pictures of each of us with our dads below.

Merry Christmas!!

We hope that you all have a wonderful and safe Christmas and New Year. We made a trip to 34th Street in Hampden on Christmas Eve Eve, so I thought I'd share some of the pictures of the pretty lights and decorations. If you haven't been to see the lights and decorations in person, I highly recommend it. It is quite an experience!!

Happy Holidays!!

We wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We are disappointed that we won't get to see everyone this Christmas -- splitting time between two families is really hard -- but we're working out a "rotation" to try and make it somewhat fair going forward. And... we're hoping once we have a bigger house (and possibly have some kids), maybe we can get both families to come to us, but it looks like that might be at least 2 years off, so for now, we'll have to make the best of the situation. We know that it's not perfect, but we appreciate our families' flexibility.

On a different note, I've been traveling quite a bit for work and was able to take a few pictures and thought I'd share them. The picture above was taken in NYC. I was there for a few days last week and also had a chance to spend some time with 2 of my favorite people (other than Ryan, of course) - Becky & Jordan. They took me to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and it was amazing!!

The week before that, I spent 2 days in Colorado and then a day in sunny California. The day I arrived in Colorado, it started snowing and didn't stop until the next day, and it was absolutely gorgeous but absolutely FREEZING! When we left for work, it was 9 degrees! I have included a few of the pictures from Colorado below. The first is the view from the office we were sitting in and the second is a picture that was taken outside the office when we got back from lunch.

From Colorado, I headed to sunny California for a day, where it was about 65 degrees and beautiful! I have included a picture below that I took while sitting in my rental car on my way to work in the morning. The roadsign in the middle of the picture is Huntington Blvd which is Historic Route 66. Although it was tiring, all in all, it was a nice trip, but I was happy to be home when it was over!
